Weight: 7.9 lbs
1993 Gibson '61 SG Reissue in Heritage Cherry, presented in very good condition and complete with its original hard case. Built during Gibson's highly regarded "Good Wood Era", this USA-made SG is a fantastic example of one of the most sought-after production SG models of the 1990s.
Unlike the current SG Standard '61, these early '90s reissues feature the larger vintage-style headstock, slim '60s-inspired neck profile and classic small pickguard design that closely captures the look and feel of the original early-1960s SGs. Lightweight and exceptionally well balanced at just 7.9 lbs, it delivers the fast neck access, resonance and sustain that have made the SG a favourite among rock, blues and classic rock players for decades.
This guitar has been freshly set up with 10-46 strings and plays effortlessly with low action and excellent intonation. It shows honest signs of use consistent with its age, including some pitting to the pickup covers, but remains structurally sound and performs exactly as it should.
